Delete from the app
- Sign in to Camp Van Cliff.
- Open Your camp profile.
- Open Privacy & account.
- Choose Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted and confirm the request.
Request deletion on the web
Email privacy@campvancliff.app from the address connected to the account with the subject Delete my Camp Van Cliff account. Include only the account email and display name.
What deletion covers
Deletion removes or de-identifies:
- Your authentication account and profile.
- Household and membership records associated only with you.
- Your private CliffAI conversations, transcripts, and action history.
- Your sponsor-interaction records.
- Other personal information we are not legally required to retain.
Campfire posts, comments, and other content shared with a trip group will be deleted or de-identified so they are no longer associated with your account. Group-owned trip and expense records may remain in de-identified form when other members need them to understand a shared plan or balance.
Limited information that may remain
We may retain limited records where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, valid audit history, or enforcement. Residual backup copies may remain for a limited period before routine deletion.
Before you delete
- Save trip details or memories you need.
- Transfer planner responsibility for active groups or trips.
- Resolve shared balances directly with the people involved.
- Cancel any future app-store subscription separately through Apple or Google.
Other services are separate
Deleting Camp Van Cliff does not delete an external campground, PicSpot, Apple, Google, payment, or other third-party account. Contact each provider for data and transactions it handles independently.
